Privacy at Mythos
This policy applies to the Mythos website and its account, profile, posting, chat, and voice-room features. Individual games and external services may have their own privacy practices; those are not controlled by Mythos.
We use information to operate accounts and community features, remember your preferences, understand general site usage, and protect the service. We do not sell account profile information.
02
Information we handle
- Account details: email address, username, and authentication data when you create or use an account. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; Mythos does not receive a readable password.
- Profile details: username, optional biography, avatar image or URL, avatar color, and your choice about whether to show your email on your public profile.
- Community content: posts, images you include, comments, likes, and chat messages you submit. This content may be associated with your account and username.
- Game activity: for signed-in users, Mythos records the name of a game launched, its launch count, and the time it was last launched. This powers account game statistics.
- Usage and device information: Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics may receive page and interaction events, browser/device information, and online identifiers under their own policies.
- Voice-room information: room membership, display name, room code, and connection signaling data are used to establish and maintain a call.
04
Cookies and local storage
Mythos saves preferences and site state in your browser's local storage. This can include theme, background, music settings, the last-seen news version, and saved post drafts. Drafts remain on that device until cleared or removed in browser settings.
Google Analytics and Firebase may use cookies or similar identifiers. You can restrict cookies and clear local storage through your browser; some site features may then work differently.
05
Third-party services and games
Games in the collection are independently created software. A game may contact its developer, publisher, or another provider and may use its own cookies, analytics, advertising, or saved-game systems. These activities are governed by that provider's policies, not this one.
Voice chat requests microphone access only when you join a room, and screen sharing starts only after you choose it and approve the browser prompt. Audio and screen media are sent through WebRTC to call participants, which may involve direct network connections or connection relays. Room and connection signaling use Firebase. Mythos does not offer a call-recording feature; other participants may still capture or record what they receive.
06
Your choices
- Edit your username, biography, avatar, and public-email setting in profile settings.
- Clear saved preferences and drafts in the relevant feature or through your browser's site-data controls.
- Use your browser or device controls to deny microphone, screen-sharing, or cookie permissions.
- To request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, contact the Mythos site operator through an official Mythos channel.
We retain account and community information while it is needed to run the service, meet operational or legal requirements, and handle abuse. Game statistics are associated with your account. A specific deletion schedule is not published.
07
Site policies
Use accounts and community features lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate others, share material you do not have permission to publish, harass users, attempt to disrupt or access systems without authorization, or misuse voice and screen-sharing features. Mythos may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts to protect the community and service.
Game names, characters, artwork, music, code, and other game materials belong to their respective creators and rights holders. Their appearance here does not mean Mythos owns or endorses them. Game availability may change, and each title remains subject to its own license and terms.
This page may be updated as the site changes. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to future use. This page describes current site behavior, not legal advice.
